The fruit fly decides almost everything

Pineapple & banana are easiest — low pest risk, robust in transit, no mandated treatment — but both are commercially closed.
Mango is the hardest major fruit: a fruit-fly host needing vapor-heat-treatment for strict markets, with scarce, costly facilities. The Gulf is more lenient than Japan/US/Australia, which is the opening.
Calamansi & dragon fruit sit in a workable middle — manageable phytosanitary load and small fresh volumes already moving (calamansi to the UAE).
Papaya stacks pest, virus, and shelf-life problems; pomelo adds seasonality and falling supply.

Easiest-to-ship and easiest-to-enter aren't the same fruit.

Pineapple and banana clear customs effortlessly but have no commercial room. Calamansi is the sweet spot: a manageable phytosanitary load, an open market, and a Gulf destination that doesn't demand the heavy treatment regimes that strangle mango elsewhere.
